On 22 February 2016, Kristalina Georgieva, Vice-President and EC Commissioner of Budget and Human Resources and co-Chairs of the United Nations High-Level Panel on Humanitarian Financing, and Christos Stylianides, EC Commissioner in charge of Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, attended the event organized in the Vatican by the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences and the High-Level Panel on Humanitarian Financing. 

On Thursday 18 February 2016, European Commissioner Karmenu Vella, responsible for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, was at the Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nations (FAO) in Rome to discuss sustainable fisheries and International Ocean Governance.

Humanitarian Friends of the Central African Republic, Exchange on food insecurity, 10 February 2016

On Wednesday 10th February 2016, the EU Delegation and the  European Commission's Directorate General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection – ECHO organized a side event organized in the framework of the Humanitarian Friends of Car, entitled "Exchange on Food Insecurity in the Central African Republic", in the margins of the WFP First Regular Session of the Executive Board.

On 26 January 2016, the Delegation of the European Union organized a working lunch with the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Kanayo F. Nwanze and EU Member States in Rome. The lunch was an opportunity to discuss the collaboration between IFAD and the EU, at political and operational level.

Laurence Argimon-Pistre, Head of the EU Delegation in Rome participated to Fra' Matthew Festing's address to the Corps of Diplomats Accredited to the Sovereign Order of Malta, during the course of the traditional audience for the new year at the Magistral Villa in Rome.

The Head of Delegation participated to Pope Francis' address to the Corps of Diplomats Accredited to the Holy See, during the course of his traditional exchange of New Year's greetings with the diplomats at the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican.
