This morning, the EU & the Holy See further deepened their structured dialogue on foreign affairs re-launched by the visit of HRVP Kaja Kallas to Rome on 10 February 2025.

EU Commissioner Jozef Sikela, in charge of International Partnerships, and EU Commissioner Magnus Brunner, in charge of Internal Affairs & Migration, exchanged views with Cardinal Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Paul Gallagher on the role of official development assistance in times of high geopolitical uncertainty, the implementation of the reform of the Common European Asylum System, interreligious dialogue, EU-Africa cooperation and EU-CELAC cooperation.

The EU and the Holy See share the commitment to our common values, fundamental rights, international cooperation, diplomacy and multilateralism.
