More than 250 representatives of governments attended the Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue Platform event organized by FAO, in Rome, from 29 to 31 May 2018.
Representatives from International organisations, Civil Society, Private Sector, Academia, etc. attended the meeting to discuss mainstreaming biodiversity through agriculture in order to address and achieve SDGs.
Deputy Director-General for Environment, Joanna Drake stated that mainstreaming biodiversity in policies for agriculture, fisheries and forestry is crucially important and urgent. The Platform gave strong support for such mainstreaming."
