European Union (EU) in Ghana and the EU Election Observation Mission (EOM) donate office and medical material to selected NGOs

25.01.2021

This week, the EU Delegation to Ghana and Election Observation Mission (EOM) handed over office and medical material to seven Ghanaian Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s). It marked the end of this phase of the EOM mission, which was very successful. As agreed, a lot of office material, most of it still very new, was given to civil society.

All the organizations selected are NGOs that the EU Delegation to Ghana works with. One of the main organizations is the National Peace Council (NPC) that played a central role before, during and after elections to ease tensions and calm the situation.

Other NGOs benefiting were organizations working with deprived children in downtown Accra and an NGO promoting human rights.

The total worth of the equipment was approximately One Million Ghana cedi.

Several benefiting organizations expressed gratitude on the timeliness of these office logistics donations.
