Join the European Union, France, Germany, Mexico, Niger, Norway and Switzerland for the presentation of the Outcome Document of the Discussion Series  on “Ensuring the protection, safety, and security of humanitarian workers and medical personnel in armed conflicts”

The discussion series took place in New York between March and June 2021. The objective of these discussions was to identify the main challenges linked to the safety and security of humanitarian and medical workers in armed conflicts, and to explore detailed practical solutions and best practices that can be adopted by the international community, both in the short and the long term.

Representatives of the UN, the Red Cross and Crescent movement, key humanitarian organisations, civil society and academia with a keen interest in the topics participated and shared their perspectives.

The Outcome Document includes the recommendations proposed during the discussion series.
