The event will put the spotlight on the status of children's rights in Syria ten years after the beginning of the conflict, look at the key child protection challenges and children’s rights violations but also put forward opportunities of ensuring/restoring child protection and children’s physical and mental well-being, access to safe spaces, to learning and education for Syrian children and adolescents, whose life and schooling was interrupted due to the conflict.

The event will allow for both taking stock of what has already been done as well as have a forward-look and explore how best to create a conducive environment and put in place the conditions to increase the protection of children against violations, the enjoyment of children’s rights and freedoms and provide for concrete education perspectives for the current and next generation.
