The Ministry of Justice and the Delegation of the EU to Albania are organising the second edition of the “Run Against Corruption”, set to take place on 8 February 2020 at 15:30 at the Tirana Lake Park. The event, supported by the Municipality of Tirana and the Agency for Park Recreation, is part of the EU-funded “Week of Integrity” campaign, which aims to raise citizens' awareness about the negative effects of corruption in the society.
This year's event will be attended by Luigi Soreca, EU Ambassador to Albania; Etilda Gjonaj, Minister of Justice; Guusje Korthals Altes, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Albania, as well as by representatives from the Municipality of Tirana, Deloitte Albania, the International Chamber of Commerce, and other business partners.
Citizens are invited to participate in the 5 kilometres or 10 kilometres run. They can register for free online at http://www.run-against-corruption.eu/form/register. The first 150 registered runners will receive a bag and a t-shirt. The meeting of participants is on 8 February at 15.00 at the main entrance to the Tirana Lake Park on Lasgush Poradeci promenade.
The first edition of the Run against Corruption took place in November 2018 with 400 runners. For this year's edition of the event, the organisers welcome a higher number of participants.
