Dr Joëlle Hivonnet delivered her presentation on EU's Green Public Procurement Policy at the International Forum on Green Public Procurement organised by the Ministry of Environment, Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute (KEITI) and UNEP on 18th June. She highlighted the benefits of Green Public Procurement to the audience. "They are not limited to environmental impact, but can include everything social and health to economic and political benefits. Therefore the Green Public Procurement is an important contributor to sustainable development", she said. The forum, which brought together over 100 guests from the domestic public and private sectors as well as international organisations, provided an opportunity for participants to enhance their understanding on sustainable and green public procurement policies and discuss ways in which the policies could be further developed.
