The project’s broad aim is to improve accessibility and enjoyment of rights and entitlements for refugees, asylum-seekers, and failed asylum applicants in Egypt.

Beneficiaries: Refugee and asylum-seeking community, as well as broader Egyptian society.

Description: The project’s broad aim is to improve accessibility and enjoyment of rights and entitlements for refugees, asylum-seekers, and failed asylum applicants in Egypt.

Objectives: The project envisages achieving the following three objectives and impacts:

  1. Mapping the Rights and entitlements of refugees based on Egypt’s obligations under international, regional, and national laws; the extent to which these rights and entitlements are accessible and enjoyed is determined; recommendations for improvements are offered.
  2. Raise Awareness regarding these rights and entitlements is raised among all stakeholders, including but not limited to refugee and asylum-seeker communities, host communities, the Egyptian government, international organizations, civil society and non-governmental organizations, and the donor community.
  3. Improved the capacity of service providers with a view to providing better accessibility to and enjoyment of rights for refugee and asylum-seeking communities in Egypt.
