EU and Ukraine sign amendment to Association Agreement increasing predictability of imports of poultry products
This amendment will modify the trade preferences for poultry meat and poultry meat preparations, with a view to introducing more predictable terms in bilateral trade of poultry products. By formalizing this agreement, the two sides agree to solve this issue by including the two tariff lines under which the imports of the new type of poultry cut were taking place, in the scope of the existing quota for poultry meat and poultry meat products.
Once in force, the volume of this quota willincrease by 50 000 tons and the most-favoured nation (MFN) duty (€100.8/tons ) will be reinstated for the two tariff lines for imports exceeding the quota.
