The Trade and Economic Section of the Delegation of the EU in Ukraine is looking for an intern for a period up to 6 months – possibly part-time. The internship is not paid by the EU Delegation.

What we offer?

The Trade and Economic Section of the Delegation of the EU in Ukraine is a small (5 persons) but dynamic and strategic section in the Delegation of the EU in Ukraine.

It is notably responsible for the monitoring of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, and in particular of its trade part, the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade area between the EU and Ukraine. The section is also involved in the negotiation and implementation of the balance of payment support to Ukraine (Macro-Financial Assistance).

The section is looking for an intern for a period up to 6 months. The intern would be fully embedded in the work of the section, and carry out research tasks (including simple economic and data analysis), attend and report on events, contribute to the drafting of economic papers, etc.

The intern would get direct exposure to all EU policies in Ukraine, and would get a unique occasion to understand from inside the work of the Delegation of the EU in Ukraine.

 

What we are looking for?

Mandatory requirements

  • Bachelor degree in economics or related field (e.g. finance)
  • Ongoing master studies in economics or related field (e.g. finance)
  • Native Ukrainian or Russian speaker and fluency in both languages
  • Very good command of English
  • Excellent command of office tools, and in particular of excel (including graphic tools) and PowerPoint
  • Proven interest for EU affairs
  • Autonomy and rigorousness

Additional requirements that would be an asset

  • Knowledge of an additional EU language
  • Additional degree in another field (e.g. law)
