Description: The general objective of the Project is to promote the objectives of the Covenant of Mayors to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by 20% by 2020 through the introduction of an economically expedient model for sustainable energy development of city heating through the example of a heating district.

EU and British Council Launch €1.3 mln Culture Bridges Programme to Support Cultural Sector in Ukraine
As a part of its research and development cooperation with the EU, Ukraine participates in the Horizon 2020 programme. It is the biggest European research fund with around €79 billion for the period of 2014-2020. Upon Ukraine’s accession to the Horizon 2020 in March 2015, a number of national research companies raised European funding to develop their technological breakthroughs.
Today, the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine enters fully into force.
The fourth year of conflict in eastern Ukraine affects more than 4.4 million people, of which 3.4 million require humanitarian assistance and protection. Hostilities continue with almost daily shelling, with frequent localised clashes affecting hundreds of settlement.
