A call for proposals, European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) 2018 Global Call for Proposals has been launched by the European Commission.
The global objective of this call for proposals is to support civil society in protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms worldwide.
The rights-based approach is the over-arching working principle of this call and all proposals must respect the rights-based methodology. Gender is cross-cutting and an integral part of the RBA, encompassing the promotion, protection and fulfilment of all human rights. Each selected proposal will have to report against relevant "SMART" sex-disaggregated indicators mentioned in the mandatory EU Gender Action Plan 2016-2020.
The overall indicative amount made available under this global call for proposals is EUR 22,000,000.
Duration: The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 48 months.

The deadline for the submission of concept notes is the 21st of December 2018, at 12:00 Brussels time.
