The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Uganda is seeking proposals for projects to implement operations by Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Local Authorities (LA) with the global objective of facilitating local CSOs and LAs contribution to poverty alleviation in the context of inclusive sustainable socio-economic development in partnership with the private sector in Uganda.
The overall indicative amount of EUR 3,900,000 will be made available for grants to the eligible applicants as mentioned in the guidelines available at the websites here below. This call for proposals consists of 2 lots of
actions which will contribute to this global objective:
Lot 1: Economic and democratic empowerment of young people and women through green jobs creation for a total indicative amount of EUR 1,900,000
Lot 2: Local Authorities ‘contribution to an inclusive and low-carbon local economic transformation for a total indicative amount of EUR 2,000,000
Size of grants:
LOT 1: Minimum amount: EUR 350,000. Maximum amount: EUR 550,000
LOT 2: Minimum amount: EUR 300,000. Maximum amount: EUR 500,000

Information session about this call for proposals will be held in Kampala on Friday, 21st April 2017 and details will be published on EuropeAid. The deadline for submission of concept notes is Tuesday 23rd May 2017, 12.00 hours via the PROSPECT.
Any application submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
