Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan
The EU Delegation carries out information and communication activities to raise awareness and understanding of the European Union and its role in Turkmenistan. The Delegation issues press releases and other press materials on the EU's policies and activities which can be found on our website.
If you are a journalist and would like to be included in the Delegations list of contacts please send an email with Subject: 'Contact List for Journalists' and be sure to include your full contact details as well as for which publication you are employed.
The EU operates an online News Room offering a variety of services and materials for journalists including: the latest press releases, audio-visual materials and media libraries as well as subscriptions to mailing lists and RSS feeds, to name a few. At EU headquarters, each policy area has an official Spokesperson. Commission Spokespersons are there to inform and facilitate journalists covering EU matters giving on-the-record quotes and background information.
Spokespersons are the only EU officials who may speak to the press on behalf of the Commission, other than European Commissioners and Directors-General who head the different sections. They hold midday daily briefings for Brussels-based correspondents to present the latest news. These briefings can be followed live on Europe by Satellite (EBS) where you can also find a schedule.
