SWITCH-Asia II Call for Proposals has been launched

30/01/2019 - 08:30

The EU puts EUR 13 million to support projects on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in Central Asia. Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs), business intermediaries, trade federations and worker associations from Central Asia in partnership with one or more organisations from EU Member States will have until 28th of February to submit concept notes.

The new SWITCH ASIA II call for proposals has been launched and this year for the first time Central Asia partners will be able to apply. The SWITCH Asia - Promoting Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) programme was launched in 2007 to promote inclusive sustainable growth, contribute to the economic prosperity and poverty reduction in Asia and Central Asia and to support the development of a green economy and the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and circular economy.

EUR 13 million are currently available under this call for Central Asian countries. The main target groups of this call will be MSMEs, consumers organisations, business intermediaries (e.g. industry associations, chambers of commerce, clusters of MSMEs, retailers, financial institutions, research centres, etc.), not-for-profit organisations and governmental institutions responsible for policy and regulatory frameworks on SCP.

The partnership: at least one organisation from a Member State of the European Union / European Economic Area or an international organisation AND at least one organisation from an eligible Central Asian country.

The deadline for the submission of the concept notes for this call is 28th February (at 12:00 Brussels time).
