The EU Liaison Office in Turkmenistan, in close cooperation with the EU-funded project "Border Management in Central Asia Program (BOMCA), Phase 9" hosted in its premises on 6 November 2017 an award ceremony for the participants of the children drawing contest with a theme "Border cooperation/border guards".
The drawing contest lasted from 25 September to 25 October 2017.
A total of 12 young participants between age 9 to 15 from different cities and velayats of Turkmenistan participated in the drawing contest with nearly 40 pencil and aquarelle drawings.
While the young artists, authors of the 5 selected best drawings were awarded with the main awards, every young participant left the ceremony with a small gift set. Mr. Lubomir Frebort, the Head of the EU Liaison Office, explained in the debate with the young talented artists that one the main objective of the EU-funded project "Border Management in Central Asia Program" is to assist the countries of this region, including Turkmenistan, with an efficient protection of their borders, so that all their people could live in peace and harmony.
