Signing Ceremony for the Handover of the Dili Municipality's One-Stop Shop

The one-stop shop is an initiative of the Ministry of State Administration aimed at decentralising services provided to citizens. In Dili, the facilities for this service were built with the support of the ‘Partnership for Strengthening Urban Governance, Social Inclusion and Promoting Entrepreneurship in Dili’ project. Funded by the European Union, this project is being implemented by Union of Portuguese Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA) in partnership with Lisbon City Council, and co-financed by the Dili Municipal Administration.
At the event, the Team Leader of the European Union Delegation to Timor-Leste, Susana Martins said, “We are confident that Dili's one-stop shop will be an excellent example in public administration. With this new support facility, the quality of service provided to all citizens will certainly be improved, while at the same time it will promote greater trust between the government and the community, paving the way for a more participatory and citizen-centred approach to governance.”
The representative of the Dili Municipal Authority, Dr Francisco dos Santos, also said that “AMD is taking another step forward and that without a doubt this is a step that aims to bring public services closer to citizens.”
