AMD OFFICIALS QUALIFIED IN PORTUGUESE, IT, SERVICE DESK AND GARDENING

Today, 120 staff from the Dili Municipal Authority have received, at the Jorge Sampaio Cultural Centre, Embassy of Portugal in Dili, certificates of training for courses carried out in the last three months as part of the activities of the project “Partnership for Strengthening Urban Governance, Social Inclusion and Entrepreneurship Promotion in Díli, Timor-Leste”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the partners Díli Municipal Authority (AMD), Union of Portuguese Capital Cities (UCCLA) and Lisbon City Council (CML). 
 


The ceremony was awarded certificates of Portuguese-language training Level A2 and B1; Computer Module I, II, III, IV and V, Organisation for Citizen Assistance Services, and finally, Gardinage. These vocational training courses aim to further contribute to the empowerment of AMD staff by providing them with tools to improve the performance of their duties.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Dili Municipal Authority, Ambassador Manuela Bairos, Head of the Portuguese Diplomatic Representation in Dili, Ambassador Marc Fiedrich of the Delegation of the European Union in Timor-Leste, as well as other personalities.

The knowledge and practices acquired will improve the performance of your duties, contributing to a positive impact on the communities in the municipality of Dili,” said the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation in Timor-Leste, Marc Fiedrich
