BIOPAMA: First call for proposals for medium grants

The Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management Programme (BIOPAMA) is a €60 million initiative of the European Union (EU) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States to improve the long-term conservation and sustainable use of natural resources through the better use and monitoring of information and capacity development on management and governance. In this framework, a €20 million global grant facility to support on-ground actions (grants up to €400,000) is created to support partners and communities to improve the effectiveness and livelihood benefits of marine and terrestrial protected and conserved areas.

Civil society organisations, municipalities, cities, national network of protected areas, national authorities, regional and international organisations are eligible as lead applicant or co-applicant. Check the website:


Applications can be submitted in English or French by 21 September 2019 at 23:59 (Brussels date and time), via the online application portal.
