Intergrated Approach to Climate Change in the East Usambara Mountain project

The project targeted eight communities located near high biodiversity forests in the East Usambara Mountains and depend on the ecosystem for their livelihoods, which are increasingly becoming threatened due to climate change.

The Integrated Approaches for Climate Change Adaptation in the East Usambara Mountains project contributed to Tanzania’s poverty reduction strategy and improving the livelihoods of communities. The
project activities are also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG 13) – CLIMATE ACTION.
