The project aims at promoting organic rice farming in Ubon Ratchathani as a mean to improve food and income security for local farmers in vulnerable agro-ecological areas.

Organic rice farming in Ubon Ratchathani is a mean to improve food and income security for local farmers in vulnerable agro-ecological areas thanks to traditional and new research/innovative techniques in agricultural adaptation, mitigation and collective risk management. During the project, 329 farmers attended training of practicing organic farming; 117 farmers applied for organic standard of Organic Agriculture Certification Thailand and 66 members have been certified. Organic learning centres, green market, Organic Agriculture Cooperative… were created.
