Integrated Approaches to Sustainable Cooking Solutions

30.01.2022

The programme contributes to reduced climate change impacts in Tanzania and reduced impacts on deforestation. This is achieved by addressing both policy and market challenges of the cooking energy sector in Tanzania.

The EU grant will fund the following activities:

  • Strengthen the legal and institutional framework for an enabling environment for sustainable management of forest resources.
  • Support the development of appropriate tools for sustainable, climate-smart forest management and utilization.
  • Establish a CookFund for accelerated market roll-out of clean cooking solutions and attracting further investments in the sector by the private sector.
  • Develop and roll out awareness campaigns and strategies on clean cooking solutions.
