The West Africa Competitiveness Programme (WACOMP) project is a partnership initiative between the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the European Union (EU). It seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of West Africa through an enhanced level of production, transformation and export capacities of the private sectors in line with the regional and national industrial, Small and Medium Enterprises support strategies.

The Project embraces the vision of the Third Industrial Development Decade for Africa (IDDA III) and is aligned to UNIDO’s mandate of fostering Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID).
