In February 2019, the European Union contributed with an additional 10 Million EUR to the Single-Donor Trust Fund for the rehabilitation of the water management and irrigation systems in the Zarafshon river basin area.
Seminar on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) in Tajikistan was recently held in Dushanbe.
EU deployed a joint technical mission from the European Commission Directorate General for Trade and the European External Action Service in Brussels to Dushanbe to prepare a possible accession to the GSP+.

EU-funded CADAP 6 supports the drug demand aspect of a balanced drug policy in line with the EU Drug Strategy 2013-2020 and the EU Central Asia Drug Action Plan 2014-2020 and assists the Central Asian governments in strengthening the capacity of national agencies to deal with the drug phenomenon in a comprehensive, integrative, and sustainable manner. All programme activities under CADAP 6 focus both on national and regional capacity building by providing policy advice and technical assistance, monitoring of the drugs situation, prevention, drug treatment and harm reduction services. CADAP 6 budget amounted over EUR 6,5 mln funded by the European Union.

1313 EU EFCA Hotline & Resource Centre video clip

Video Description: 
Informative video produced by the EU-funded project "Improving the Framework for Reporting and Resolution of Gender-Based Violence in Tajikistan", implemented by EFCA Tajikistan. A new hotline is launched and a Resource center is created in the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan under the EU-funded project. The Centre will provide free legal and psychological support and consultations to victims of violence. Hotline is toll-free from all local mobile operators.
