The Goalkeeper/Schoolmaster IT application has recently been re-engineered. Goalkeeper is the interactive database of training opportunities relevant to the EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and in particular to civilian crisis management. Its technology has been upgraded to offer more user-friendly access to both its back-office and public environment.
Schoolmaster is part of the web-based platform Goalkeeper, which serves EU Member States, the EEAS and CSDP missions. The platform provides support to training, recruitment and capability development in the area of civilian capabilities for CSDP.
Goalkeeper/Schoolmaster is designed to capture the largest possible amount of information on training opportunities relevant to the EU CSDP and international crisis management and make it easily accessible at a central location. The target group includes both specialised audiences and the interested public. The Goalkeeper/Schoolmaster public website (https://goalkeeper.eeas.europa.eu/) offers a full list of courses. These training offers are uploaded to Goalkeeper/Schoolmaster by registered training institutions. A search function will facilitate the identification of specific courses from this list. Schoolmaster also has an email alert service, sending out alerts to a large community of subscribers whenever announcements of new courses are being uploaded.
The planned integration of Schoolmaster with the Registrar module in the Goalkeeper platform will allow relevant training opportunities uploaded to Schoolmaster to be directed to the most appropriate categories of civilian experts in EU Member States and to selected personnel for CSDP missions.
Any training institution certified by a national point of contact can upload their training activities relevant to CSDP.
