From the landmark COP21 conference in Paris to Macron’s vocal campaign to “Make Our Planet Great Again” in 2017, France has expressed to the world its commitment to play a leadership position in climate diplomacy.
But what has been the outcomes of this policy so far? What concrete measures and schemes have been implemented by the French government to meet its carbon-neutral target by 2050? How does France accompany emerging countries today, towards low-emission pathways? And what tools have been developed to engage youth worldwide in the climate change conversation?
During this roundtable, three French experts will address those questions, providing their views from different fields of actions.
N.B: The roundtable will be held in English.
Ludovic Maria, Environment and Energy Attaché, Economic Service of the Embassy of France in Jakarta
Emmanuel Baudran, Country Director of the French Agency of Development (AFD)
Stéphane Dovert, Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor Embassy of France in Jakarta
