The EU Delegation in Bern offers paid traineeships for a period of 4 to 6 months on a full-time basis with a monthly remuneration of €1200. Trainees are fully integrated in the daily work of the team of 10 people working on relations between the European Union and Switzerland as well as Liechtenstein. It provides the intern with the possibility of getting a good overview of the diplomatic work of the Delegation and in particular in the policy field covered by the section.
You are a young graduate with at least a Bachelor degree or equivalent in political science, economy, law or similar field.
Good knowledge of social and political sciences and/or economy in Switzerland.
Excellent knowledge of English, French and German – minimum C1 level (working languages in the Delegation).
Able to work independently with flexibility.
You have less than one year of professional experience.
You are a national of an EU Member State, pre-accession State, Switzerland or Liechtenstein.
You have no previous professional experience in any of the EU institutions of more than six weeks.
The trainee has to arrange and finance his/her travel to the EU Delegation and take care of his/her accommodation.
