South Africa and the EU organised a joint investment seminar to explore possible avenues to deepen cooperation and the development of critical raw material value chains linked to the energy transition. EU Ambassador Sandra Kramer said: "The European Union in South Africa will accelerate the implementation of the EU’s new external investment strategy, Global Gateway. Our focus in South Africa will be on critical raw materials and value chains, with a particular emphasis on the clean energies of the future, such as green hydrogen and electric batteries."
