Call for Proposal: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for Green Energy and Economic Development in Somalia

The Delegation of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Somalia is seeking proposals for TVET for green energy and economic development in Somalia, with financial assistance from the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe (NDICI – Global Europe).

The Delegation of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Somalia is seeking proposals for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for green energy and economic development in Somalia, with financial assistance from the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe (NDICI – Global Europe). The specific objective of this call for proposals is to improve green skills in renewable energy, circular economy and sustainable agribusiness in Somalia. The priorities of this call for proposals are: provision of institutional capacity building support related to TVET to meet the needs of the labour market and adhere to the goals of the green economy; promoting structural collaboration between businesses and TVET schools; providing financial and operational support for the running of TVET centres; engaging with the private sector to organise awareness raising campaigns in communities demonstrating opportunities for studying and training.

The deadline for submission of full applications is 19 September 2024 at 17:00 (Brussels date and time).

 

An online information session is planned for 11 July 2024 at 11:00 (EAT). Should you be interested in attending this session, please send an email by 8 July to: DELEGATION-SOMALIA-TENDERS-AND-CFP@eeas.europa.eu, indicating: name, surname, nationality and email address of the persons who are going to participate as well as their organisation (max. two participants per organisation). The subject of the email must include EuropeAid/181975/DD/ACT/SO. No costs incurred by the applicants for attending this information session are reimbursable.
