Study in Europe made a strong comeback after a year’s hiatus, drawing a record 2,200 visitors at the in-person fair held on 20th September at the historic Chijmes Hall.

The event highlighted the vitality of academic exchanges between Singapore and Europe.

Twenty countries participated, presenting a wide range of higher education options offered across their universities, and sharing resources on application processes, student life, courses in English and bond-free scholarships.

Representatives from European universities, research institutions, diplomatic missions of EU member states in Singapore plus Norway joined the EU Delegation on-site. European Union-funded initiatives were represented, like EURAXESS and the EIT Digital Master School of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology, a successful collaboration between 15 European universities, focused on tech education.

Europe provides ample opportunities for academic mobility and research.

Visitors learnt more about the different Erasmus+ initiatives for higher education cooperation, including the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters. They also discovered pathways to pursue a PhD in Europe through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks and about the EU’s flagship programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe.

The physical fair is complemented by a comprehensive digital platform: studyineurope.com.sg that has had 19,000 visitors to date.
