The EU Delegation to Singapore’s flagship #TeamEurope higher education fair Study in Europe 2023 on 30th September ended on a high. Presented in a hybrid format, 250 universities from 22 European countries showcased their excellent and diverse study options to 2,000 visitors on-site and 15,000 online. EU Ambassador to Singapore, Iwona Piórko, opened Study in Europe together with fellow Ambassadors at the centrally located open-air venue Capitol Piazza.  

In media interviews leading up to this year’s edition, Ambassador Piórko said: “Our education fair, among the most popular ones in Singapore and well-established in the region, reaches out to students and their parents, connecting them with universities and education specialists from across Europe. They also get to learn about the EU’s flagship higher education mobility programme, Erasmus+, which is part of the EU Global Gateway initiative that connects people, goods and services around the world in a sustainable way.”

Erasmus+ alumni joined EUD on-site together with representatives from EURAXESS ASEAN and EIT Digital Master School, a successful collaboration between 15 European universities, focused on tech education.

A pre-recorded interview of Erasmus+ alumnus Angela Wong served to educate visitors about the EU’s flagship student mobility programme, while interviews recorded on site and publicised live on EUD's social media featured local influencer Annabelle Francis, polyglot Jun Han (who speaks 6 European languages) and Singapore footballerBaihakki Khaizan.

Organised annually to showcase the EU’s flagship initiatives promoting academic and research cooperation with Singapore, Study in Europe connects undergraduate and graduate students with universities across the EU. Students and their parents have access to resources on application processes, student life, courses in English and bond-free scholarships such as Erasmus+. This years run returns to hybrid format, after being conducted exclusively online from the outset of COVID-19 until SIE 2022.

SINGAPORE, 29th August 2023 – The European Union (EU) Delegation to Singapore is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of its flagship higher education fair Study in Europe 2023 in a dynamic physical format this year. Complementing the physical elements of one of Singapore’s leading higher education fair is a comprehensive one-stop website – www.studyineurope.com.sg. 22 European countries and over 250 universities are showcased on the Study in Europe digital platform.

Happening on 30th September 2023 at Capitol Piazza, 13 Stamford Road, Singapore 178905 (opposite City Hall MRT) the fair offers students and parents the opportunity to meet education counsellors, academic representatives from leading European universities, as well as embassy representatives to explore the diverse educational pathways that Europe has to offer. This year’s event promises a seamless blend of both physical engagement and virtual accessibility to cater to the diverse needs of students and parents.
