Second Mission of the European Union Business Avenues to South-East Asia on Green Energy Technology in which 35 small and medium enterprises from 15 different European Union Member States travelled to Singapore to present innovative and advanced green energy technologies that respond to an increasing demand for effective and sustainable energy solutions.

The event, took place at the Asia Clean Energy Summit 2016 as part of Singapore International Energy Week from October 24th to October 26th, 2016.

Students from Singapore Management University visit the EU Delegation

This week the Ambassador Dr Michael Pulch was joined by the students at Singapore Management University studying 'European Union Politics' as part of the Bachelor programme in Social Sciences, accompanied by Assistant Professor of Political Science Dr Clara Portela. For the first time this year the course achieved the maximum number of participants, and the students had the chance to visit the EU Delegation to Singapore and speak to its main representative.

The Ambassador outlined the European Union's key areas of interest in Singapore and in the wider ASEAN region, namely trade, economics and foreign policy.

Thank you. My thanks, in particular, to the Monetary Authority of Singapore for hosting this conference and the first meeting of the EU-Asia Pacific Forum – the first of a steady series, I hope.
