As we mark the International Criminal Justice Day, the European Union reaffirms its longstanding support towards the international criminal justice system and in particular its unwavering commitment to the International Criminal Court (ICC), as part of the EU's wider commitment to a rules-based international order.

The Council today adopted conclusions on the EU's priorities at the 74th UN General Assembly(September 2019 – September 2020). These conclusions complements the Council conclusions on strengthening multilateralism which were adopted on 17 June 2019.

The Asia-Europe Sustainable Connectivity Scientific Conference (AESCON) is organised by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, the Asia-Europe Foundation, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia and the Center for China and Globalization.

On Tuesday, 16th July 2019, the European Commission presents an EU high level Seminar on Geographical Indications for Agri-food products in Singapore.
In anticipation of the entry into force of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA), the Commission presents the concept of geographical indications in greater detail, as well as highlights the business opportunities and benefits that geographical indications offer for producers, business people and consumers alike.

The Council today adopted conclusions welcoming the publication of the first joint synthesis report of the EU and its member states on ''Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals across the world'' as an important contribution to EU reporting at the High Level Political Forum in 2019. The Council welcomes the collective contribution of the EU and its member states to the implementation of all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the world, leveraging all means of implementation, in support of the 2030 Agenda.

On Thursday 27th June 2019, the European Union in Singapore, the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and Clingendael – The Netherlands Institute for International Relations jointly present the SIIA-Clingendael Dialogue: Enhancing EU-Singapore Connectivity.
Focusing on connectivity in key areas such as infrastructure, digital and people-to-people connectivity, the conference brings together industry leaders and policy makers from both Singapore and Europe.
