The EU’s security and defence cooperation with Asian partners was in the spotlight as HRVP Federica Mogherini travelled to Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue on June 1st. During her whirlwind day here, she spoke at the Dialogue, met with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, held several bilateral meetings and did an exclusive In Conversation with Channel NewsAsia covering a broad range of EU foreign policy issues.

Nearly 400 guests joined Romanian director Tedy Necula, Singapore's Senior Minister of State for Defence & Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamed Maliki Osman, EU Ambassador to Singapore Barbara Plinkert for the opening night of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) on 10 May 2019.

Europe Day 2019 celebrations in Singapore were held at the Asian Civilisations Museum – a museum that celebrates through its excellently curated collection the many connected strands of our rich and diverse cultures.
