Europe Day 2025

The reception was graced by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, the Guest of Honour.
In her speech, EU Ambassador to Singapore Iwona Piórko highlighted the enduring partnership between the EU and Singapore, recounting achievements and common challenges throughout her tenure.
A musical performance of a European-Singaporean duo supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation opened the evening. Two exceptional classical musicians: Jacek Mirucki from Poland and Sim Yi Kai from Singapore performed Sonata in G minor by Henry Eccles, a baroque work originally composed for the violin and later adapted for the double bass.
Singapore's anthem Majulah Singapura and the European anthem Ode to Joy were performed by Zoe Wilcox and Melina Tsikouras, students of the German European School Singapore (GESS). GESS students Amelia Chai, Emelie Kerger, Julian Wolf and Theodore Klingenberg-Timm created artworks that were part of the event backdrop.
Generous in-kind sponsorships and a carefully crafted all-European menu took guests on a journey through the EU’s rich culinary landscape.
We express our sincere thanks to our sponsors and supporters and to all our guests who joined us for Europe Day 2025.
