Delegation welcomes Ambassador Artis Bertulis
A career diplomat, Ambassador Bertulis was most recently the EU Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau. Formerly, among other positions, he has served as Latvia’s Ambassador to India and Sri Lanka.
Says Ambassador Bertulis: “I am excited to start my term as the European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, in this landmark year that celebrates the country’s 60 years of independence. The EU and Singapore are like-minded partners, strongly committed to preserving the rules-based multilateral order and working closely together to strengthen region-to-region relations with ASEAN.
Building on this dynamism, I look forward to further boosting our relationship in the next four years of my mandate with an eye on 2027: a year that will mark the 60th anniversary of ASEAN, with Singapore as its Chair.”
