Namibian Representatives from various ministries and agencies actively participate in a training course on "Financial and Contractual Procedures in the framework of the 11th EDF" funded by the EU
About 27 participants from various Line Ministries – including the Deputy National Authorizing Officer, National Assembly, National Council, Ministry of Agriculture, Water & Forestry, Ministry of Education, Arts & Culture, National Training Authority, Ministry of Land Reform,, Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism attended a nine-day training in Windhoek on Financial and Contractual Procedures in the Framework of the 11th EDF.
The training was funded by the EU and conducted by a Consortium consisting of MDF, PROMAN and GIZ. This training programme is essential for sound and efficient management in the context of EC devolution. Similarly this training will enable National Authorizing Officers' staff as well as implementing institutions' staff to better understand how the 11th EDF works and consequently how to fully make use of its financing resources.
At the end of the training participants remarked: The training was very relevant in relation to the projects we deal with. The materials were very helpful and handy and trainers were experienced, knowledgeable and professional.
