Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the EU has suspended its bilateral cooperation and projects with Russia.

Our condemnation of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine is unequivocal. The role of the EU Delegation in Russia is also to engage with the Russian civil society organizations and Russian population and to maintain the link with those who share our values.

We will continue to support the Russian civil society organisations, human rights defenders and independent media and journalists inside and outside Russia.

The EU film festival is not organised in cooperation with any Russian official institutions.

The EU film festival is a tool to promote European values and culture, the European way of life, freedom of thought and expression.
