During the 6th Ecoforum in Tagaytay City, EU Delegation's head of trade and economics Walter van Hattum discussed with local government officials ways to benefit from EU trade and investment. With its trade policy based on values and transparency, EU and its industry supports sustainable development and corruption-free trade and investment with the Philippines. Trade regimes such as GSP+ and a Free Trade Agreement help to create decent work and integrate Micro Small and Medium sized enterprises in global supply chains."EU trade does not just create jobs but quality jobs and can be a decisive way for reducing poverty and reaching upper middle income level in the coming years," van Hattum said.
