Two traineeships of 6 months each within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Peru starting in the first semester of 2020.
Description of the section
The EU Delegation in Lima represents the European Union in Peru. The Political, Press and Information section of the Delegation is one of the 4 sections of the Delegation. The section has the task to monitor, analyse and report to HQ on the Peruvian politics (domestic and foreign) and on sectoral policy issues. The section is also in charge of establishing and maintaining regular contacts with relevant national authorities, Member States representatives, and other relevant organisations/institutions including civil society representatives. The section must also deal with the visibility and communication aspects of EU presence in Peru i.e. implement public diplomacy initiatives aimed at broadening and deepening knowledge about the EU in Peru. The section is a dynamic team of 5 persons.

Candidates are allowed to apply for 1 traineeship only. However, based on your profile the Delegation could offer you a traineeship in another section.

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel inside the country, of residence, visa, insurance and accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
