PAID TRAINEESHIP FOR YOUNG GRADUATES AT THE

EU DELEGATION TO PARAGUAY

 

Are you a young graduate interested in international relations?  
Are you curious to learn more about work in a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents its interests and values in Paraguay?

Are you a citizen of the EU or Paraguay, and fluent in written Spanish and English?

 

We offer a full-time paid traineeship of 6 months within the Political, Press an Information Section of the EU Delegation to Paraguay (Indicative dates from 1/06/2018 to 30/11/2018).

 

Main tasks:

  • Monitor, analyse and contribute to English reporting on the political situation, domestic and foreign policy developments in Paraguay,
  • Assist the Head of Section by providing briefings, dossiers, speeches, statements, press releases,
  • Promote the visibility of the European Union by supporting media and public diplomacy activities.

Before applying you are requested to examine the general eligibility criteria (https://eeas.europa.eu/headquarters/headquarters-homepage/39144/traineeship-eu-delegation_en) for traineeships (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 - Paid traineeship for young graduates).

 

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. However, costs related to insurance, accommodation, eventual travel and visa must be borne by the trainee.

 

Candidates are expected to master fluent written and spoken Spanish and English, and to be available for a full-time traineeship (five days a week 08:30 to 17:00). Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.

  • Motivational letter in English of one page maximum mentioning two reference persons with contact details
  • Example of one page report in English on a political development relevant to Paraguay or Latin America
  • Copy of the diploma/s
  • Language certificate/s
  • Extract from the "judicial record"
  • Medical certificate stating that you are fit for work and disease-free (a certificate written by a general practitioner is sufficient)
  • Scan of Passport/ID card
  • Proof of health insurance coverage.
