PAPUA NEW GUINEA - List of EEAS calls for tenders for the current year
On December 15, the European Union Delegation to Papua New Guinea, represented by its Acting Head of Cooperation visited the Sibalai community of Milne Bay Province to mark the occasion of the official launch of the Sibalai Resource Centre as part of the Community Led MDG Acceleration Project (CLMAP). The programme, developed as a pilot initiative by the European Union in 2012, aims to assist the government to accelerate achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) at the local level and to demonstrate community and civil society capacity to drive community development.
The European Union Election Expert Mission (EEM) Report on the 2017 Papua New Guinea National Elections has now become public. The Report presents the finding of the mission of two independent election experts who observed the electoral process between 31 May to 2 August 2017.

At the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) Headquarters, outside Lae over 40 representatives from 20 districts of 11 lowlands provinces met at an inception workshop on October 25-26. The purpose of their meeting; to put into perspective issues to be addressed in preparation to implement a project on strengthening food production and the resilience of vulnerable communities to drought in the country.
