The European Green Deal call under the current research and innovation programme Horizon-2020 is open for applications and the last date for submission is 26 January 2021 (17:00:00 Brussels time). This call with an approximately €1 billion budget for research and innovation projects that respond to the climate crisis and help protect Europe's unique ecosystems and biodiversity. Projects are expected to deliver tangible and visible results relatively quickly and show how research and innovation can provide concrete solutions for the Green Deal main priorities. The European Union and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, have agreed to join forces on five calls under the Horizon 2020 European Green Deal Work Programme. The DBT will co-fund the successful Indian entities in five calls under the Horizon 2020 Green Deal work programme.
