Everyone is born free and equal in dignity and rights. On the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT), the European Union reaffirms its strong commitment to respect, protect and promote the full and equal enjoyment of human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons.

Europakommisjonen la 5. mai fram et forslag for et nytt instrument for å forhindre mulige konkurransevridende effekter av utenlandske subsidier i det indre markedet. EU er avhengig av et sterkt, åpent og konkurransedyktig indre marked. Og mens statsstøtte fra EU-medlemsstater er underlagt nøye kontroll, finnes det få mekanismer for å kontrollere og regulere statsstøtte fra tredjeland.

The European Union Delegation to Norway is looking for a Policy Officer in the Political Affairs, Press and Information Section

Another year of quasi-confinement did not stop the EU and all its offices around the world from marking Europe Day in all its glory with several innovative activities online to touch all our senses! Shades of blue and yellow adorned landmarks worldwide, the sound of music filled our homes, and our eyes feasted on an array of photographic exhibitions and movie screenings. Our brains were also put to the test with a number of quizzes, and kids enjoyed online games to their hearts’ content. Our taste buds also thanked the chefs who offered online cooking classes, and we even got to go on a trip to space!

Well we had three different meetings today, maybe to celebrate that it was our first physical encounter since last August – soon it will be one year. We decided to hold three different meetings.

EUs delegasjon til Norge gratulerer Inga Berre som mottaker nummer 10 000 av midler fra Det europeiske forskningsrådet (ERC). I dag feirer ERC en ny milepæl: 10 000 forskere fra Europa og verden over har mottatt midler til å følge sine beste ideer.

Following the requests of Canada, Norway and the United States of America to participate in the PESCO project Military Mobility, the Council today adopted positive decisions authorising the coordinator of this project – the Netherlands – to invite the three countries. Canada, Norway and the United States of America will be the first third states to be invited to participate in a PESCO project.
