Funding opportunity for projects to combat gender based violence and support human rights defenders

The Delegation of the European Union to Uganda has today launched a call for proposals on combating gender based violence and supporting human rights defenders. Up to 7.5 billion Uganda shillings available in grant financing.

The call, funded through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), aims to pursue common agendas for the protection and promotion of the rights of women and children, including strengthening systems and policies that work towards elimination of violence against women and children. It also aims to increase the resilience of human rights defenders (HRDs), especially HRDs who are most at risk.
