A few days after the Banibangou attack, Niger is in mourning following another massacre in the Tahoua region.
In one week, more than 200 civilians have fallen victim to the indiscriminate and borderless violence of terrorist groups.
Nigeriens have refused to be intimidated by the various attacks that have taken place in recent weeks. On the contrary, they have completed a historic democratic process which constitutes a decisive step forward for the consolidation of democracy in their country. They can count on the European Union to continue to fight alongside them to bring security and stability to their country.
By perpetrating these attacks against defenceless civilians, the terrorists make us even more determined to confront them.
