10.05.2021

The "Ready4Trade-Central Asia" conducted an inception seminar to introduce a new programme on e-commerce development for small and medium businesses (SMEs) in Turkmenistan.

The main objective of the programme is to raise awareness on managing businesses online, both in the local and international markets through the series of webinars and consultations. The inception seminar included the discussion of advantages, disadvantages, and possible difficulties that businesses face in e-commerce. Participants were introduced to the international standards, access to international B2B platforms and logistics. Participants presented their businesses and shared expectations from the training.

"The world is going through the process of transformation where e-trade is on rise. During the time of the current market evolution, the presented programme isrelevant as never before," noted participants of the seminar.

The programme is expected to involve more than 10 local companies and will be completed by July 2021. It was already implemented in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
