EVENT: UNSC 2286 5th-Year Anniversary: Attacks on Health Care – Prevent, Protect, Provide

07/05/2021 - 10:43

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the UNSC Resolution 2286 addressing the protection of health care in armed conflict. To commemorate the fifth anniversary of its adoption, Norway, WHO and co-sponsors invite you to reflect on the achievements of the past few years and discuss what should be improved to better prevent and protect against attacks on health care. Operational aspects such as community engagement and integrating protection measures into programming will take a central role in these discussions.

The event will be co-hosted by Norway and WHO, and co-sponsored by Afghanistan, Cameroon, Canada, Central African Republic, European Union, New Zealand, Nigeria, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and Uruguay. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to panelists live and in the chat box. Please note that the link to access the session will only be shared with registered participants.
