On the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the European Union reiterates its unswerving commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons.


The fundamental principles of equality in terms of rights and dignity, as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, must be respected for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Therefore, all forms of discrimination and violence against LGBTI persons in any part of the world must be condemned.

The first European Union-Myanmar Senior Officials’ Meeting took place in Brussels on 16 May 2019.

ပထမအျကိမ္ ဥေရာပသမဂၢ- ျမန္မာ အျကီးတန္းအရာရွိျကီးမ်ား၏ အစည္းအေဝးကို ေမလ၊ (၁၆) ရက္ ေန႔၊ ၂၀၁၉ခုနွစ္၌ ဘရပ္ဆဲ(လ္)ျမိဳ႕တြင္ က်င္းပျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့သည္။
